I lead population health at Devoted and write at Spheres of Possibility.
I run Art of the Near Future World, a project that solicits, curates, reads, and celebrates in community short fiction imagining the world a few months to a few years from now. The near future comes quickly and we meet often: our next event is June 8th, and you can read past winning stories from April 2026, October 2025, and April 2025.
I live in New York City, and I’m a member of Abundance New York to help build a more vibrant and magnificent city.
I’ve enjoyed writing and going back and forth on title capitalization patterns in:
Politics & policy
- Dollars Just for DC (2026) Do significant federal campaign donors skip contributing to local NYC races? Overwhelmingly, yes: only 13% also gave to any local race, and it’s just 8% among employees of NYC’s largest employers.
- “Show Me the Money” Disclosures (2026) Require investment platforms, prediction markets, and gambling sites to disclose the average returns of their account holders.
- Let us vote (2025)
- Summer is No Time to Waste (2016)
Culture & life
- A near future world of many stories and many prizes (2026)
- Starf*cked: treating the famous better and saving ourselves (2026)
- How should companies judge and punish us? (2024)
- The joys of going under: what it’s like to scuba dive (2024)
